Citrons doux

Description

Like “Nuages“, “Citrons doux” is a mixture of original compositions and personal arrangements, but this time rather than opting for swing or balanço, I have chosen the tender sound of murmured confidences and nostalgia. Amongst these works you will also find music by composers who always make guitarists’ heart beat faster, like the Paraguayan Agustin Barrios (1885-1944), the Spanish composers Fernando Sor (1778-1839) and Federico Moreno Torroba (1891-1982) as well as the German lutenist Silvius Leopoldus Weiss, an exact contemporary of Bach, along with – as I enjoy the shadows of Frank Zappa – waltzes by Frédéric Chopin (1771-1844) and Tony Murena’s valse-musette.
